It is the warehouse racking we specify first for general distribution, because it handles a wide SKU mix and a changing tenant. The catch in this market is height. A new 36 ft clear building at Tucson Commerce Center and a 22 ft clear multi-tenant bay in West Central Tucson both need warehouse pallet racks, but frame heights, beam levels and aisle plans have almost nothing in common. Call (520) 335-3953: 5203353953 ## Sizing Industrial Pallet Racks to the Load Every layout starts with the pallet. Footprint, load height and the heaviest pallet on a level decide the beam. Beam capacity is rated per pair, per level, and the frame rating depends on height and beam spacing, so we size to the worst pallet, not the average one. 1 ### Pallet and load A 48 in deep pallet goes on a 42 in deep upright. Beam length follows pallets per level: 96 in for two 40 in pallets, 144 in for three. 2 ### Levels to clear height We stack beam levels up to the lowest overhead obstruction and the lift height of your truck, then print the position count on the drawing. 3 ### Aisles to the truck Counterbalance trucks need roughly 12–13 ft; reach trucks 8–10 ft. The truck sets the row spacing before anything else. There, pallet rack systems go six or seven levels high and the reach truck becomes the deciding piece of equipment. In the older buildings near the rail corridor downtown and in South Tucson (https://tucsonpalletrack.com/service-area/south-tucson), clear height is often under 24 ft and column grids are tight. Those jobs are about getting one more beam level and working rows around columns. Marana tenants at the Southern Arizona Logistics Center sit at the tall end; see pallet racks in Marana (https://tucsonpalletrack.com/service-area/marana). ## Design, Quote and Pallet Rack Installation You send pallet size, heaviest load, clear height and a building plan. We return a CAD layout with position counts and an itemized quote. Standard components can ship through our 48-hour quick ship program for standard pallet rack components; the quote confirms timing for everything else. Experienced installation crews we schedule and manage set and level the frames, anchor them to the floor and hang load plaques. From May through September we start early in the day, because most Tucson warehouses are not air-conditioned and the afternoon heat is real. Moving into a new building? Our warehouse relocation service (https://tucsonpalletrack.com/warehouse-relocation) plans the teardown and reinstall. ## Get a Pallet Rack Layout and Quote Send the basics and we will come back with a layout and pricing.
